Just when you think life can be pretty routine.... you're eating dinner at 5:30 and herd everyone outside with the thoughts of taking a family walk to take in this AMAZING weather, then get side tracked with swinging and picking weeds (or picking acorns if you're jane) and richard and patrick stop by to say hi and then lovely neighbors come out with their dogs to play, and pretty soon everyone has a beverage in their hand and the dogs are running around, and stella has old man cyrus (our neighbor's 19 year old cat) in her lap and is ever so gently petting him and telling him that he is her favorite, and somehow art is brought out onto the kitchen table to be discussed and a bottle is given to jane and soon she is fast asleep in the ergo, and stella is still holding cyrus, and the dogs are still running around and good conversation is still going strong, all of a sudden its 8:30 and the sun has set and everyone is smiling and the kids are ready to be tucked into bed.
thats what happened today. no baths were taken, bedtime ran a bit behind and i definitely ate a cupcake AND a popsicle. its nice to break out of the routine once in awhile.
