Welcome!

!!! November !!!

Its November.  Its the week before Thanksgiving.  Holy sheet.

We are leaving for New York Cit-tay next week...yaaaaaaayuh-baby.

Here are a few things that have been happening around here....

saturday night, we joined mary and claire at the rockets game for floor seats (thanks for the hook up claire!)!  that was baller.  walked next to yao ming for a minute.  the man is huge.

Sunday, I hosted a baby shower for Claire, her baby girl is due in one month!  It was fun having a bunch of ladies over (while you and dad headed over to Coco and Papi's house for the afternoon).  But not before being really excited about having a party and helping me set up.

After the shower Mary Mags Claire and I ran around the Heights shopping and eating at Good Dog.  I have been to Good Dog hotdogs two days in a row.  it is gooooood (as its name suggests).  chi-town dog and mini-pretzel buns with mustard sauces.  oh yes.

both you ladies have successfully received the flu vaccine before getting on a plane.  a feat i did not think was possible since i did not try to schedule it until 2 weeks ago and was told by the doctors office that they were fully booked.  high five self!

the rest of the week will probably look something like this...

- obsessively write packing lists
- obsessively write errand lists for things we need to pack but don't have
- worry about travel-related things of which are out of my control (sicknesses, germs, timeliness of flight, security)
- read blogs when i should be packing
- check and double check that i have enough chapstick and hand sanitizer for travel and life in general
- procrastinate actual packing until the night before we leave

xo

entry decor for the shower, the white balls are giant balloons that were not blown up enough to float, this was how we improvised

i am so obsessed with flower arrangements.  Kroger + flora from Bruce Street = pretties arrangements ever.
Oh, and glitter!!!!! Pumpkins!!!!!  also my new obsession.  they're all over the house.  and so is the glitter.

the $10 shelving unit found at the amazing Stardust Antiques, along with the FREE gold frame from Davis hardware (they were throwing out tons and tons of old frames, so we scooped up a few each).  And the arrows we purchased from the Native American Fest. and stella with a balloon.

because its funny.

always walking the dogs.  always in princess costumes.

swim classes! (for stella, jane just likes to dress for support...Jane you and your swimmies and swimsuits.  maybe you will be the swimmer in the family)
