Dear Stella,
Today was your first day of dance class. I might have teared up a bit. For no reason other than it was the cutest thing i've ever seen ((and i secretly hope one day you will be a contestant on 'So You Think You Can Dance #bestshowever)).
you were a champ...confident, fearless and excited to walk into that room and take a class all by yourself ((while jane and i waiting in the waiting room and watched your class through a video monitor just outside the classroom door)). my, how far we have come, you and me. i'm so proud of you my little one. so big and so sweet. really, just so sweet.
this morning, jane woke up earlier than you, so i creep crept in your room, got jane out of her crib and tip toed back out of the room and closed the door. and, of course, one minute later jane tripped herself and fell on her mouth and cried and cried and cried. i hear your little voice from your room pipe up saying, "what happened to jane!?" you rushed out of your room with the biggest look of concern i have ever seen looking all around for your baby sister. when you saw her with her big ol crocodile tears you immediately took the pacifier out of your mouth and put it in jane's....and even offered her your blanket! oh lawd, be still my heart.
