Today we had no agenda. nothing to accomplish, no pressing errands. These days are rare. I love them. We played for hours this morning. we played with your bathtime critters out in the living room, pretending the little shapes in the carpet were homes for them. the new lego cinderella and her horse and carriage joined the fun in a tiny parade, where the bathtime critters became parade spectators. I attempted to organize your toys, you ladies undid all my organizing...almost minute for minute. while we're on the subject, where the hell are all these toys coming from?! my theory is, they're making babies in the night.
back on subject, In a mild attempt to get out of the house, i suggested we take the dogs to the dog park, something we haven't done since...YOU GIRLS WERE BORN!!! worst dog owners ever. although there is some (a lot) of unconditional love there. I have never been to the Buffalo Bayou Park, although i've driven by it enough times, so i thought, why not. its an adventure. Me, you two girls, the two dogs, a stroller and some snacks...should be fine. and gladly, it was. it was actually one of the most enjoyable days we have had together thus far. i felt like huck finn by that bayou...its amazing how a few tall trees and a body of water can change your whole perspective.

once everyone was good and tired from all the running around we loaded up in the stroller and headed over to the Dandelion Fountain...something else i have yet to see up close. This was the most thrilling moment for you Stella. no, wait, seeing it was exciting, but when we realized you and the dogs were allowed in it...that was the crowning moment. we romped around awhile here...it was very chaotic to say the least, but i enjoyed every crazy moment.
and because we needed to dry off before hopping back in the car we walked over to the 'Tolerance Sculptures' to explore. I've also been dying to walk up to these. 3 birds, 1 stone. ((patting myself on the back))
guess who is napping now? :)
