suffice it to say, we've got another big one on our hands.
you are rolling over both ways, getting up on all fours, and doing the humpty hump. homegirl, you is ready to crawl.
you are all smiles and babbling like a brook. just yesterday you started the "OOOOooo" sound, making your little mouth into a little circle just about breaks my heart its so cute.
you love your hands, miss grabby. reaching out in front, to the sides, behind you, anything you can do to get your hands on something! you open and close that little hand over and over, almost like you're scratching, feeling the floor, my skin, your bumbo. its the sweetest little motion, it really is.
auntie kelli likes to say, you are just chillin'. happy as a clam to be hanging out with everyone. i'd have to agree.
you are eating everything nowadays...you want whatever i've got, no matter if its hummus, pizza or sunglasses. if its in my hands, you want it...and once you've gotten your hands on it it will go quickly into your mouth.
i've roasted you sweet potatoes, carrots and butternut squash with a little cinnamon and grapeseed oil and it seems to be one of your favorites. of course, mashed bananas are probably still #1 on the list. stella has taken an interest in feeding you your dinner, she is not purposefully gagging you i promise.
you also love your TV, oh my little TV girlies. last night stella was watching a little show on daddy's phone before bed and you craned your neck so hard to see what she was watching and cried and cried because you couldnt see it. hahaha. oh, i have a feeling this is only the beginning of the frustration you will feel watching stella do something you can't.
its so amazing to watch you, you are only 5 months but seem to know exactly what you want. how is that possible! i definitely didnt give stella this much respect when she was a baby, at that time i had no idea babies were so intuitive...i made the silly assumption that i knew what was best, but really, you do seem to know. again, i feel this is the early stages of a major life lesson (for me and for you girls).
your sleep has been decent. you are a tired lady by 8pm and go down easily. but for some reason, the past week or so you have been wide-eyed and bushy-tailed at 5:30am. thats too early for me my love. we will persevere, hopefully soon you will sleep in just a little longer.
you are my smiley girl, i love you so my lady.
