we spent the week before thanksgiving in minnesota for gram's funeral. the trip was for a very grim purpose but it ended up being a really fun time with family. the funeral was beautiful. we found a recording grandma had sent to us in 1987 of her playing an entire book of christmas music and her narrating in between each song, we played it throughout the wake and funeral along with an awesome slideshow ben put together. you girls surprised me how well behaved you were throughout mass. such little ladies.
speaking of good girls, you both were champs on the plane. this trip also served as our first family trip...which i was a little apprehensive about, but it went off without a hitch. no ear trouble, no inconsolable screaming. although on the way home we were in the very last row of the plane, no seat reclining possible, and for me and jane, no window, and i thought maybe your dad was going to have a screaming fit, but we made it just fine.
we stayed with missy, nick and alexis. stella, you had a blast playing with alexis and all of her toys. alexis is almost fully potty trained, and you enjoyed copying her big-girl ways. alexis pooping during bathtime is about my favorite memory from the trip, and yours too apparently, since anytime i mention alexis you tell me she pooped in the tub. you and her together are the cutest thing ever.
we fit in some site seeing while we there, walked around the Walker Art Museum, Sebastian Joe's Ice Cream (had the best salty caramel ice cream ever!), went bowling and saw a drag show.
to minnesota people...we love you so much, it was so fun spending time with you. can't wait to meet the new little mister when he arrives!!
xoxoxo
lots of photos so get ready.....
