Welcome!

Stella's Birthday Party

She's 2...i'm not sure how because i feel like she was just born last week.  time amazes me.  we celebrated backyard style with pools, sprinklers, balloons, streamers and snacks.  the morning started off sort of rocky, and by rocky i mean a full-on stress pot.  to cut to the chase, we basically had a pipe bust and had to turn off the main water supply to the house at around 7:30am.  after frantically running around and making phone calls kyle assured me that it would be fixed soon...and at first i thought, eh, no big deal, i don't need to shower, but then it hit me that we were about to have a water themed party and had no water.  and didn't get water until about 9:20, and the party started at 10...not a lot of time to fill up 4 pools.  but it went off without a hitch.  i also may have an ulcer now.

stella had a great time.....from the time we started filling up the pools until everyone arrived.  she was screaming and splashing around all by herself, then she became miss clingy when people showed up.  and right as everyone was leaving she perked up again.  coincidence?  i think not.  home chick was not feeling so many people in her territory.  i suppose having 30+ people in your house is a bit overwhelming for a wee one.

and too keep it with the birthday theme, she was naked a good percentage of the time (just like last year!)

in an effort to keep things simple i put all the food on sticks, PB&J on sticks, rice krispies on sticks (the most delicious thing ever, i'm obsessed), strawberries on sticks, etc.  it saved on silverware and plate usage big time.

it was so nice to have so many friends and family show up, i was so sad when the party was over and everyone left, exhausted as i was, its so fulfilling to have all your loved ones around.

happy birthday sweet stella, i love you so so much!!!
