Welcome!

Photo dump

I have so many photos on my phone i need to put them somewhere!! Heres whats been happening around the cox casa lately...

Where to start, on Jane's 2 week birthday kyle and i went on a date to Uchi and had the most fabulous sushi.  Jane joined us and slept the entire dinner, bliss!  then we stopped at Marble Slab for some superb ice cream (butter pecan for me, birthday cake for kyle) and made one last stop at target for some sak-infused shopping before heading home (by 8:30! haha).  it was a fun little break from the routine and something we plan to keep up.

stella has taken a keen liking to our blanket baskets and now chooses to sit in them and play.

We have been taking long bike rides in the evenings to wind down the day, i can't imagine a more perfect way to spend the last few hours of our day.

breakfasts have been a key part to our day, lots of eggs and toast happening.  for some reason i'm obsessed.

we have finally started using our gigantic chalkboard wall in the back entry due to the suppressing heat index.  its not quite as messy as i anticipated and stella does love it.  although, she likes wiping the chalk off more than actually drawing with it.

sunday, we started the day at Discovery Green with the Dums.  there was water playing and hula hooping and even a picnic.  then, that afternoon we went to kyle's brothers house for some family time.  stella and will seem to be the best of friends.  he is such a good big cousin.  they played for hours before settling down for a party on a pallet to watch Rio.

Monday was steles first day at Montessori School.  its really the sweetest little place and she seems to love it.  We phased her in this week and i don't think it was necessary.  mommy saying goodbye was a nonissue for her.  when we were getting ready for school the second day, however, she strapped her backpack onto pete and seemed to want him to come with us.  it was funny how much he tolerated it.

stella has gone up a shoe size, again.  she is now at a size 8.  and she's not even 2 years old yet.

banana bread.  always.  this time added crushed pineapple.  was really tasty, but incredible gooey.  will add more flour next time.

hello kitty bandaids are a new obsession.

Jane got her first proper bath this week.  not sure if she was a fan just yet.  stella was dying to get in her little tub.

almond butter + honey =  heaven

last night was another date night.  we met claire and wade at El Gran Malo for dinner.  I had a margarita (a cucumber mint margarita to be exact) for the first time in MONTHS and it was heaven, although left me with a pounding headache for hours.  worth it.  rob joined us later in the evening, he's in town for a jujitsu tournament.  it was good to see an old face.

this afternoon richard and i ventured to installation antiques for their big sale.  stella and i mostly window shopped.  richard picked out some awesome vintage landscaping tools to hang up at the LMC headquarters.

in no particular order, here are all the photos.

It's been so much fun hanging out with the girls the past few weeks. I'm so glad I still have another 2 months left of maternity leave. It's going to be so difficult to go back!

ps- cannot believe how kid obsessed i have become, try not to judge too harshly.   maternity leave has been much more enjoyable this time around now that i have a little entertainer (stella).
