i got a hair up my butt about doing some home projects recently (perhaps can chalk this up to the nesting sensation) and somehow the Brick House's DIY of the Ace Hotel's shelves skyrocketed its way to #1 on my list.
all in all it was relatively easy, thanks to TBH's awesome instructions. cleaning and painting the pipes was the most gruesome part of the process.

once everything was properly prepped, we assembled the shelving unit in less than 20 minutes
and now we have shelves in the house. something we have never had before.
not sure this was a "necessary" project, seeing as i'm a few short weeks away from delivering and haven't even managed to get stella's old baby clothes out of the attic yet, but it satisfied me.
