Welcome!

easter weekend

according to my calculations we've made 5 trips to austin this year already!  amazing. mice and rifles recorded their second EP a few weeks ago, so Kyle was MIA all easter weekend, but stella and i got a lot of quality time with momo and nona.

we ate lunch at this amazing trailer, Dock and Roll, that surpassed all of our expectations for lunch.

stella spent a good amount of time running around and playing on the merry-go-round as we were waiting for our food.  thank goodness mom and monica were with me, otherwise i would have been exhausted.  it was more than sunny outside so the heat + 2-year-old energy has me wiped out most of the time.  i think this day was stella's first little sunburn (just a little one, her little arms got rosy).

i had the southwestlake sammie, which was good but nothing compared to the Main Event  (lobster roll).

and my mom had the most amazing fried shrimp poboy with spicy slaw.

my sister is friends with the owner and brought stella inside the trailer when she went to say hi.  stella decided she would be their new waitress.  i couldn't get over how short it is inside the trailer, the guy working it was at least 6' tall and look how perfectly placed the window is for stella's tiny height!  he must have a backache at the end of his day.

then! auntie momohead and stella needed to go home for a nap, so mom and i decided to go get the most amazing foot massages...i am not lying.  it is heaven here on this earth.  seek one out if you haven't yet.  for $30 you get an hour foot massage and a 15 minute back/shoulder massage.  it was the best $30 i've spent in a long time.

then it was easter!

stella quickly caught on to the whole hunting-for-eggs thing.

except the eggs rarely made it into the basket.

she just went from one egg to the other, eating the candy and dropping the opened egg back on the ground.

then it was time to head home for another easter extravaganza at kyle's brother's house.  stella fell asleep in exactly 4 minutes after we left my mom's house. 100lbs of candy+new minnie mouse+park time=naptime

once at brad and michele's another easter egg hunt started almost immediately.

katy tried to show stella how its done.

to no avail.

and confetti eggs!

and live bunnies!

it was quite the weekend, but so much fun.
